The Panama Canal

The Panama Canal is the most well known destination in Panama, the 50 mile long canal connects the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. The canal opened in 1914 and is very important for global trade. By cutting through the isthmus of Panama, the Panama Canal Drastically reduces the time that ships have to travel between oceans.
